This is the second session I have done with Sheyla and her son. I always have the most wonderful time with them. Chasing a four year old and his elusive focus on my lens is always a fun challenge for me! I hope to do many more shoots with these guys in the future. Hopefully we can get dad to come along next time ;-)
These guys are just about the cutest! I had so much fun with them wandering around the marina for this family portrait shoot. They were very brave, because although it looks warm and sunny, it was a chilly windy day! I am grateful to have met these lovelies and look forward to more shoots as baby B grows up!!
I think I was almost as excited as the kids to go to this ballerina birthday party for my favorite 5 year old. It was a feast for the senses, especially if you happen to like pink and all things ballet. Of course her parents did it up and had everything that anyone could ever think of for a kids party (apparently she was the mastermind behind the whole thing :-)). It was so fun to watch the joy on all of the kids' faces as the day unfolded. I love days like this.
I love the Reardons. They were my neighbors way back when before weddings and babies. I treasure their friendship and love watching their beautiful family grow.
I feel so grateful to know these lovelies! I have been fortunate enough to do many portrait sessions for them over the years. Watching these great kids grow up is so much fun for me. The parents are pretty awesome too, and I had a great time wandering around Venice with them on the world's windiest day.
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! I got to chase these two around having all kinds of adventures. I love family photo sessions like this where we just fly be the seat of our pants (meaning: the kids are going to make me work for the shots!!), and I get lucky enough to see into the inner workings of a family's life. I had a blast with them!
What can I say about this shoot? I am almost speechless (which is hard to achieve)!! This family about broke my heart with their general cuteness and the love they had for one another! I have worked with Melissa before, and when she asked me to do some head shots and family photos I was thrilled! It is always such a pleasure for me to spend time with people I adore and to capture some precious moments to boot!! Having 3 generations of beautiful ladies was such a pleasure! It fills me with such joy to post these!!!!!I wish I could post more, there are so many amazing shots.
Pearl is going to be a famous actor one day... mark my words! She has been telling her mom for years (and mind you she is only 11!!!) that this is what she is meant to do. I believe her, and if you met her in person you would too! It was fun to do a second set of head shots for her while I was on the Big Island last week. She is heading to LA soon, and I am sure we will be hearing about her! I also got the pleasure of shooting some portraits for her lovely sister. I always have the best time with this family! We shot all over Waimea town and ended up at an old warehouse which I fell in love with on this last trip.
I actually cried while editing these. Mostly because this family is so special to me. Their Mom is my oldest friend. We started 1st grade together here on the Big Island 40+ years ago, and have been friends ever since. It has been so amazing to know her and to be inspired by her courageous and creative spirit throughout the years. It had been awhile since we had seen each other, and I was so excited to have the opportunity to reconnect. I especially loved seeing her gorgeous children again, all grown up. It was so fun to be able to hang out with them and photograph their beautiful family. I loved every minute!
I just love these 2 little ones. They are so full of spunk and laughter that I couldn't help but smile the whole time we were shooting. It was fun to get to shoot their portraits for the 2nd year in a row. We walked all over deep ellum...well, ran really, and found some fun nooks and crannies to play and shoot.
I love "lifestyle photography", aka: a day in the life captured just as it is. I had the pleasure of volunteering at Lakehill Prep to take some shots for their promotional materials. We wandered around classrooms and caught the kids in the midst of their day. I also got to take some fun portraits of the kids for their website. Stay tuned for more "A Day in The Life" shots coming soon. We have a whole day shoot planned in a week or so!
